Privacy policy

What we collect

If you accept our cookie banner, we set one first-party cookie containing a random anonymous identifier. When you click through to a retailer, we record that click — the product, the price at the time, the page you came from, and that anonymous identifier. This tells us which sale items people find useful. If you decline, the site works identically and no identifier is stored.

We do not collect names, addresses, payment details, or precise location. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell personal data.

Why we collect it (legal basis)

Legitimate interest in understanding which deals are useful and in reconciling the affiliate commissions that fund the site (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and consent for the cookie itself (PECR).

Retention

Click records are kept for up to 24 months for commission reconciliation, then deleted or fully anonymised. The cookie itself expires after 12 months.

Sharing

When you leave through an affiliate tracking link, the affiliate network (for example Awin, Sovrn or Skimlinks) sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy — that happens on their domain, after you click, and is disclosed on our disclosure page. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP addresses) to run the site.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data linked to your identifier, and you can object to our processing. Email admin@theworldismycloset.com — deleting your cookie also unlinks you from any past clicks. You may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with our answer.
