How our deal ranking works

The exact rules that decide what appears first — no hand-picking, no sponsored placements.

Nothing on this site is hand-picked and no placement is paid for. Every list — the homepage sections, brand pages, category pages and search results — is ordered by a deal score computed the same way for every item, from data alone.

The score starts with the discount percentage, then adjusts for reality: items fully in stock get a boost, items down to their last size or two get pushed down, prices confirmed within the last 24 hours rank above older ones, and higher-value categories like coats and boots get a small nudge because a deep cut on a £120 coat is a rarer event than on a £6 top.

We also apply a quality floor: reductions under 30% don't appear in our headline deal sections at all. They're still on the site and reachable through filters, but we don't present a 10% trim as a 'sale'.

The result is that the same rules run whether we track five hundred items or fifty thousand — and when you disagree with the ranking, the sort control switches to plain price or newest-first, which are exactly what they say.
